What's Biodiesel? (jump to top)
Biodiesel is a form of renewable source of energy which uses biomass and in general organic matter, natural renewable sources as used or pure plant oils and animal fats.
Biodiesel can replace partially or even completely conventional diesel. Biodiesel can be easily used in any vehicle (which uses diesel) with replacing diesel, completely or even with proportion. Also after it is treated properly, it can be simply poured in the fuel reservoir of any diesel machine.

How is Biodiesel produced? (jump to top)
The process of biodiesel production is simple, although it requires special equipment. First of all, in order to produce biodiesel plant matter (used cooking oils or animal fats) are collected, filtered and afterwards heated.
The proper mixture of chemicals is calculated and applied to fats and cooking oils, forcing a reaction to take place and convert used oil into a primary form of diesel. Biodiesel is then washed, dried and finally can be used in combustion or heating machines, at any proportion with normal diesel.

Why Biodiesel - Advantages (jump to top)

The use of biodiesel has a positive impact on the environment:

It reduces the emissions of carbon monoxide
It reduces the emissions of carbon dioxide
It reduces the emissions of sulphur dioxide
It reduces the emissions of aromatic multicyclic hydrocarbons
It reduces the emissions of soot

Moreover, biodiesel:

  • Provides more safety (high point of ignition).
  • Is ecological, renewable, not toxic, and biodegradable.
  • Decreases the emissions of pollutants and soot.
  • Practically does not contain sulphur. (0001%).
  • Does not contain benzol and other carcinogenetic components.
  • During its combustion it emits as much CO2 as long as the plants absorb during their growth. (Closed circle of CO2)
  • Has superior lubricating faculty and increases the life of the machine.
  • Provides smoother operation (least noise and less vibration).
  • Can combine itself with diesel in various proportions.
  • Decreases the dependence from the argon oil with simultaneous saving of currency.

    Our team’s research on Biodiesel
The complete research study of our team is available for the public. The research concerns the improvement of produced biodiesel quality and contains advice on important stages of the production. It also contains a lot of information and pictures (which make the comprehension of each stage easier), annexes and analytic answers on important questions that concern the production of biodiesel.
